About Knowmax
Knowmax is an AI-powered knowledge management platform for enterprise contact centers and support teams.
The Role
You will be the sole product designer at Knowmax, sitting within the product team and working daily with product and engineering. You will own the platform's look, feel, and functionality from start to finish. This role offers high ownership with guidance on product context, decisions, and process.
What You Will Do
- Own features end-to-end: understand the problem, map flows, and deliver polished, developer-ready screens.
- Improve existing product areas for clarity and consistency.
- Design for web first, ensuring layouts adapt to tablet and mobile.
- Build and maintain the Figma design system (components, variables, libraries).
- Prototype flows to test ideas and explain interactions.
- Participate in customer feedback sessions to understand product usage.
- Utilize AI tools (e.g., Claude, Figma AI) for exploration and iteration.
- Collaborate with engineering through build and QA to ensure design fidelity.
- Support occasional design needs for sales and marketing collateral.
What You Bring
- 0 to 2 years of experience in UI/UX, product, or interaction design (internships and freelance work are accepted).
- A portfolio showcasing your design process, problem-solving, and decision-making.
- Strong hands-on Figma skills: Auto Layout, components, variants, variables, libraries, and prototyping.
- Solid understanding of design fundamentals: layout, typography, color, visual hierarchy, spacing, and grids.
- Good understanding of interaction design, information architecture, and user flows.
- Working knowledge of responsive design across screen sizes.
- Familiarity with usability principles.
- Clear communication skills, able to articulate design decisions.
- Ability to manage your own work and deliver independently.
- Genuine curiosity about AI tools and modern design workflows.
- A degree or diploma in UI/UX, interaction, visual, or graphic design or a related field is preferred, but your portfolio is paramount.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to B2B, SaaS, or enterprise products, particularly complex, data-heavy interfaces.
- Experience building or maintaining a design system.
- Interest in AI-first product experiences.
What You Do Not Need
- Front-end coding: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript are not required.
Why Knowmax
- Real ownership from day one, with your work shipping to enterprise customers.
- A small team where your input directly shapes the product.
- Hands-on experience designing AI-first products in a growing category.
- Mentorship and close collaboration with product and engineering.
