About the Role
Kalmar is seeking a Development Engineer, Mechanics Intern to join the Product Development team. This internship offers the opportunity to develop and support mechanical systems for current and future projects, focusing on both diesel and electric powered Kalmar terminal tractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new truck components and assemblies.
- Process Engineering change requests and implement design changes.
- Select design solutions, materials, and components based on customer demands.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- 3D modelling, Catia preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Google suite software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, Google Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Slides, Google Drive, and Calendar).
- Strong work ethic, dependable.
- High attention to detail.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Junior or higher status strongly preferred.
