Backend Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a Java - Backend Engineer for a full-time, on-site opportunity based in Morena, Madhya Pradesh, India.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, integrate, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve Java-based backend services, APIs, databases, internal platforms, enterprise applications, automation solutions, and digital systems.
• Work closely with software, IT, data, analytics, operations, production, supply chain, finance, sales, and other business teams.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Core Java and object-oriented programming concepts.
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, collections, exception handling, interfaces, inheritance, polymorphism, abstraction, multithreading, concurrency, and clean coding practices.
• REST APIs, JSON, HTTP/HTTPS, web services, authentication, authorization, API integration, and system integration.
• SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Microservices architecture, distributed systems, service-oriented architecture, scalable backend services, or event-driven systems.
• Maven, Gradle, Git, GitHub, version control, branching, pull requests, code reviews, debugging, and collaborative software-development workflows.
• JUnit, Mockito, TestNG, Postman, unit testing, integration testing, API testing, or automated testing.
• Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, caching, message queues, asynchronous processing, scheduled jobs, background processing, or event-driven architecture.
• AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CI/CD, or similar cloud and DevOps technologies.
• Linux, command-line tools, application deployment, environment configuration, logging, monitoring, and production-support concepts.
• OAuth, JWT, role-based access control, secure coding, input validation, API security, encryption, authentication, and authorization concepts.
• Application performance optimization, database tuning, connection pooling, caching strategies, scalability, reliability, fault tolerance, observability, and troubleshooting.
• ORM technologies, repositories, persistence layers, entity relationships, transactions, and backend data-access patterns.
• Agile, Scrum, Jira, SDLC, technical documentation, requirements gathering, user stories, sprint planning, or issue tracking.
• Good analytical, logical, debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication, documentation, collaboration, and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to understand business and technical requirements and translate them into practical, reliable, scalable, maintainable, and secure Java backend solutions.
• Willingness to work in an on-site environment.
• Strong willingness to learn new Java technologies, backend frameworks, databases, APIs, cloud platforms, testing tools, and modern software-engineering practices.

Qualifications

• B.E. / B.Tech / B.Sc. / BCA / MCA / M.Sc. / M.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Applications, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline.
• Freshers and experienced candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Candidates with 0–5 years of experience in Java backend development, backend engineering, software development, application development, API development, enterprise software, or related technology roles can apply.
• Candidates currently working as Java - Backend Engineer, Java Backend Engineer, Backend Engineer - Java, Backend Engineer Java, Backend Engineer (Java), (Java) Backend Engineer, Java Backend Developer, Backend Developer Java, Backend Software Engineer, Java Software Engineer, Software Engineer Java, Software Engineer - Java, Java Developer, Spring Boot Developer, Associate Software Engineer, Graduate Software Engineer, or Junior Software Engineer are encouraged to apply.
• Candidates from IT services, SaaS, product companies, technology, consulting, e-commerce, fintech, telecom, analytics, manufacturing, logistics, FMCG, or other industries are welcome.
• Familiarity with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Hibernate, or similar Java backend frameworks will be beneficial.
• Familiarity with SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB, Redis, or similar relational and NoSQL databases will be beneficial.
• Understanding of database design, normalization, joins, indexing, transactions, schemas, CRUD operations, queries, query optimization, and data-access concepts will be advantageous.
• Exposure to frontend technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular, or Vue.js will be beneficial but is not mandatory.
• Exposure to automation, data engineering, analytics, AI/ML, generative AI, ERP, CRM, dashboards, reporting systems, or enterprise applications will be considered an additional advantage.
• Internship, academic project, Java project, Spring Boot project, backend project, API project, database project, microservices project, GitHub project, hackathon, freelance assignment, startup project, or open-source contribution will be considered but is not mandatory.
• Candidates without previous full-time Java backend-development experience can also apply.
