About the Role

Pensive Atelier is a design studio focused on planning homes and crafting thoughtful interior and furniture solutions. The studio integrates architecture, interior design, and product design to create cohesive and functional spaces, emphasizing aesthetics and usability to reflect each client’s lifestyle and needs. This is a full-time, on-site Junior Architect role in Chennai.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the design and planning of residential projects, interiors, and furniture layouts.
• Prepare concept drawings.
• Assist in detailed architectural and interior design development.
• Contribute to 3D models and presentations.
• Coordinate with senior designers.
• Document design decisions.
• Prepare drawings and specifications for execution.
• Participate in site visits.
• Interface with vendors and consultants.
• Help ensure design intent is maintained throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Skills in Architecture and Architectural Design for planning, conceptualization, and detailing.
• Skills in Software Development and Integration to support coordination with digital tools, workflows, or design automation.
• Skills in Project Management to assist with schedules, documentation, and coordination.
• Proficiency in architectural design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar).
• Basic 3D visualization tools.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a closely related field is preferred.
• Strong design sensibility.
• Ability to interpret client requirements.
• Attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site studio environment.
• Exposure to interior and furniture design is an advantage.
• Familiarity with local building codes and materials will be an advantage.
