Junior Interior Designer

About the Role

We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented, and passionate Interior Designer to plan, design, and execute functional and aesthetically pleasing interior spaces. The candidate should have a strong understanding of design concepts, materials, colours, furniture, lighting, space planning, and project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand client requirements, preferences, lifestyle, and budget.
• Conduct client meetings and site visits.
• Present design concepts and incorporate client feedback.
• Maintain good client relationships throughout the project.
• Develop creative interior design concepts and layouts.
• Prepare space planning, furniture layouts, and mood boards.
• Select materials, finishes, colours, furniture, and lighting.
• Ensure designs are functional, practical, and visually appealing.
• Prepare 2D layouts, working drawings, and detailed drawings.
• Create 3D visualisations and design presentations.
• Prepare material specifications and BOQs.
• Ensure drawings are accurate and aligned with site requirements.
• Coordinate with site supervisors, contractors, and carpenters.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress.
• Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings and designs.
• Resolve design-related issues during execution.
• Maintain quality standards and project timelines.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for materials and finishes.
• Source furniture, lighting, accessories, and decorative elements.
• Compare quotations and assist in material procurement.
• Monitor material quality and delivery schedules.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, V-Ray, Photoshop, or similar software.
• Good knowledge of space planning and interior materials.
• Understanding of furniture design, lighting, and finishes.
• Strong creativity and attention to detail.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of site execution and coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Interior Design or a related field.

Experience

• Freshers may apply if they have strong design skills and a good portfolio.
• 1-3 years of experience preferred for mid-level positions.
• Experience in residential and commercial interior projects is an advantage.
