Process Specialist, CT, Control Tower

About the Role

The Network Flow Control Tower is the central hub for Amazon's European Transportation Execution across the Middle Mile network, supporting domestic and inter-country movements. The Control Tower team manages sort center capacities and ensures uninterrupted flows by managing virtual capacities, tracking inbound movements, and reacting to network disruptions. This role directly impacts Amazon's ability to serve customers on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand analytical simulations and assessments, quickly grasping business impacts of trends and making data-driven decisions.
• Perform reporting and analysis using tools, portals, and reports, adopting a solution-driven approach.
• Utilize advanced computer literacy with Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word.
• Conduct data-warehouse analysis.
• Pull and report data from numerous databases (using Excel, Access, SQL, and/or other data management systems) and perform ad hoc reporting and analysis. (Note: This ability will be developed over time for a fundamentally strong analytical candidate.)
• Develop and understand performance metrics to drive business results.
• Systematically escalate problems or data variances to relevant owners and teams, ensuring resolution.
• Define business and functional requirements for Amazon technology teams creating and enhancing software systems and tools.
• Communicate with external customers.
• Provide real-time customer experience within a 24x7 operating environment.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative/technical field such as computer science, engineering, or statistics.
• Experience with SQL.
• Experience with Excel.
