Associate Inside Sales Representative

About the Role

Simpson Strong-Tie is seeking an Associate Inside Sales Representative to service customers, handle problems and requests, and process orders. This role involves training on company products to answer customer questions.

Key Responsibilities

• Answering the queue phone and providing customers with requested information including pricing and ship dates. (80%)
• Inputting orders into the computer. (80%)
• Providing technical help when able. (20%)

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Customer service experience is a plus.
• Computer Skills: Proficiency with Outlook, Excel, MS Word, and similar computer programs.
• Accountability & Dependability: Able to consistently demonstrate reliable, punctual attendance.
• Mathematical Reasoning: Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, fractions, percentages and decimal equivalents.
• Reading Comprehension: Able to read and write simple correspondence and follow instructions.
• Analysis / Reasoning: Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Customer Focus: Ability to quickly and effectively solve customer problems.
• Communication: Able to communicate one-on-one and in small group settings and in a team atmosphere.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.

Work Status & Location

• This is a full-time, non-exempt position.
• Location: Columbus, OH.
• Travel is not normally required, but may arise for training purposes.

Pay

• $19.38 - $29.09 / hour
