Associate

About the Role

The Associate will work full-time on-site in Mumbai, supporting the practice in litigation and advisory matters. The position offers practical exposure to courtroom practice and client management in a professional legal setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Legal research
• Drafting pleadings, notices, agreements, and opinions
• Assisting in preparing case strategies
• Attending courts and other legal forums
• Coordinating with clients for information and documentation
• Maintaining organized case files
• Collaborating with the advocate on submissions, evidence, and timelines
• Ensuring compliance with procedural and regulatory requirements

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proficiency in legal drafting
• Communication skills (written and verbal)
• Understanding of civil and commercial law
• Ability to manage multiple matters, maintain detailed documentation, and meet deadlines under supervision.

Qualifications

• Strong legal research and analytical skills
• Familiarity with court procedures in Mumbai and related jurisdictions is an advantage
• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B) from a recognized institution
• Enrollment with the Bar Council is preferred
• High level of integrity, professional ethics, and willingness to learn and take initiative
• Prior internship or work experience in litigation or corporate practice will be an added advantage
