Concept Design Architect

About the Role

The Design Forte (TDF) is seeking a highly creative Concept Design Architect – Landscape & Spatial Design who can think beyond conventional solutions, explore possibilities fearlessly, and translate ideas into compelling spatial experiences. This role focuses on the early stages of design, including concept exploration, sketching, 3D modeling, idea testing, and bringing abstract thoughts to life.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop original landscape and spatial concepts for residential, commercial, institutional, hospitality, and public-realm projects.
• Explore multiple design directions through sketches, diagrams, spatial studies, mood boards, and 3D models.
• Translate design ideas into strong visual narratives and presentation-ready renders.
• Work hands-on with SketchUp and visualisation tools to test, iterate, and communicate concepts.
• Explore the relationship between people, nature, movement, materials, climate, and space.
• Present thinking clearly, explain design decisions, and refine ideas through constructive feedback.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proficiency in SketchUp.
• Proficiency in at least one rendering tool such as Enscape, D5, Lumion, Twinmotion, or an equivalent.
• Ability to use tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, or other visual communication software to develop compelling presentations.
• Curiosity about landscape, ecology, planting, materials, and how people experience spaces.
• Ability to take ownership of a design task, work independently, iterate quickly, and meet agreed deadlines.

Qualifications

• Architecture or Landscape Architecture graduates, including freshers, are welcome.
• Candidates from related design disciplines may also apply if they demonstrate strong spatial thinking.
• Strong design sensibility and ability to generate ideas beyond familiar or conventional solutions.
• Enjoy sketching, visual experimentation, 3D modeling, and exploring different ways to communicate an idea.
