About the Role

The Pricing Specialist – Freight is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. This position is responsible for preparing competitive freight quotations, analyzing carrier rates, and ensuring accurate pricing for import and export shipments across various modes of transport.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing competitive freight quotations.
• Analyzing carrier rates.
• Ensuring accurate pricing for import and export shipments across various modes of transport.
• Coordinating with sales and operations teams.
• Reviewing customer requirements.
• Sourcing rates from carriers and agents.
• Updating pricing databases.
• Monitoring market trends, margins, and cost drivers.
• Preparing pricing reports.
• Supporting contract negotiations with carriers and partners.
• Working closely with internal stakeholders to maintain service quality, meet response-time targets, and support business growth through reliable and transparent pricing.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• MS Excel and other office productivity tools for data management, quotation preparation, and report generation.
• Understanding of international trade practices, Incoterms, and basic documentation requirements is highly beneficial.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and numerical skills, including the ability to interpret rate sheets, cost structures, and margin analyses.
• Hands-on experience in freight forwarding or logistics pricing, with knowledge of ocean, air, and road freight rate components.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with sales, operations, and external carriers or agents.
• Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and the ability to manage multiple pricing requests under time constraints.
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
• Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru and adapt to a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
