About the Role
Lumanity is seeking a talented individual to join their HEOR Research team as an Associate Consultant, specializing in Value & Access. This role is ideal for a self-motivated new graduate looking to start a career and gain experience in the health economics and patient outcomes industry, with a focus on clinical evidence review and market access.
The successful candidate will be enrolled in a structured graduate programme, spending approximately half their time on clinical evidence review and market access, and half gaining experience across other specialisms within the Research team: Value & Access, Evidence Review, Economic Modelling, and Statistics. Cross-specialism experience will be gained through involvement in multi-disciplinary projects. Training will focus on developing technical, scientific, and consulting skills. As a career progresses, opportunities exist to deepen skills in value and access while developing a secondary specialism.
Key Responsibilities
As an Associate Consultant, you will:
- Work closely with team members to deliver clinical evidence reviews and market access projects.
- Engage directly with clients to understand needs and ensure deliverables demonstrate the impact of new medicines or health technologies on patients and healthcare systems.
- Conduct literature-based clinical research, including desk-based research and semi-systematic review.
- Create evidence review reports of clinical research, including elucidation of burden of illness, unmet need, and product value.
- Build value dossiers, including value propositions to support new products.
- Support US value communication services, including AMCP dossiers, US payer dossiers, and US field-team decks and tools.
- Contribute to Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) planning and strategy, including landscaping, readiness, and response generation.
- Produce abstracts, posters, or manuscripts to report study findings.
- Conduct systematic literature reviews.
- Support economic modelling to evaluate treatment costs to healthcare systems.
- Assist with statistical analyses relevant to dossier development.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Microsoft Office packages (particularly Word and PowerPoint)
Qualifications
The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic graduate with strong motivation for development and learning in a fast-paced environment.
- A postgraduate qualification (MSc, PhD, or PharmD) in biochemistry, biomedical science, health policy, public health, or a related field.
- Curiosity and enthusiasm for developing client-facing consulting skills alongside technical expertise.
- Written English to a professional scientific-writing standard, with the ability to convey complex information as a cohesive story.
- Research and analysis skills, including the ability to critically appraise scientific evidence and synthesize findings clearly.
- Excellent communication skills and an ease in liaising with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work productively independently and in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Organisational skills with close attention to detail and personal time management.
