About the Role
This position serves as an entry point to promote careers in software engineering for cloud-based applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Gain general knowledge about existing software & application infrastructure and the software development lifecycle.
- Assist in providing technical and administrative support for assigned tasks.
- Support the review and build of new software capabilities, ensuring adherence to software engineering standards.
- Assist in conducting unit tests to improve system reliability and enhance the Cyber Security posture of Amtrak applications.
- Contribute to the development of reports and introduce innovative ideas for efficient information capture and analysis using modern technology platforms.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Actively pursuing a degree at an accredited educational institution.
- Pursuing a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, and/or Management & Information Systems.
- Completed at least 1 year of academic undergraduate studies or sophomore status.
- Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher.
Qualifications
- Experience with AWS services.
- Understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
- Prior experience with web frameworks (e.g., Java, Spring Boot, Python).
- Coursework or projects demonstrating an interest in cloud computing or data science.
Pay Transparency:
The hourly range is $18.00 - $35.00 per hour.
