About the Role
This is an entry-level opportunity within Morningstar's Data and Operations group. The role offers practical experience working with various datasets including public equity filings, private market transactions, ESG data, Managed Investment Data (Funds), and reference entity data. The position includes structured training and will be based in the Mumbai office. Preference will be given to candidates residing in Mumbai. Candidates may be required to work in shifts, including night shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Search, collect, and verify data of basic and intermediate levels of complexity.
- Attend to internal/client queries and requests to ensure data captured aligns with data methodologies and policy guidelines.
- Quickly learn research methods and process standards to ensure productivity, quality, and timeliness.
- Collaborate with your team, cross-functional teams, and external parties (if required) to resolve data issues.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Proficiency in MS Office tools, especially Excel and Word.
- Strong English communication skills (written, verbal, and comprehension).
- Ability to learn quickly and process information with ease.
- Attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and natural curiosity.
- Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and perform well under tight deadlines.
- Willingness to work in shifts:
- Early Morning Shift (AU): 5:30 AM to 2:30 PM
- General Shift: 10 AM to 7 PM
- Afternoon Shift (UK): 2.30 PM to 11.30 PM
- Night Shift (US): 8.30 PM to 5.30 AM
Qualifications
- Candidates graduating in 2026 with a Bachelor's degree as their highest qualification.
- Preferred Bachelor's degree disciplines: Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, Economics, or related non-engineering disciplines.
- Ineligible candidates:
- Those with a postgraduate or master's degree.
- Those pursuing or holding professional qualifications such as CA, CFA, CMA, CS, ACCA, FRM, or any similar equivalent course.
Work Location: Vashi, Navi Mumbai
Apprenticeship Period: 6-12 months
Stipend: ₹22,000 per month
Working Days: Monday to Friday (5-day work week)
