About the Role
V2X is seeking a Paint Prep Technician for the Modernization and Sustainment site in Indianapolis, Indiana. This is a 2nd shift position.
Key Responsibilities
- Applies coating materials to various surfaces using brushing, rolling, and spraying methods.
- Prepares surfaces for coating application, including cleaning, masking, and other necessary steps.
- Ensures proper coating application and adherence to surface protection requirements.
- Demonstrates attention to detail for precise coating application and defect avoidance.
- Performs masking in appropriate locations to protect areas not intended for coating.
- Follows instructions from routings, blueprints, specifications, and other documentation.
Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED equivalent.
- 0-2 years of related experience.
- Knowledge of proper surface preparation methods and coating techniques.
- Ability to follow verbal and written specifications, routings, and other instructions.
- Attention to detail and precision in coating application.
- Skill in masking and protecting areas not intended for coating.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance is required.
