Social media account managing intern

About the Role

Skillmate Global is seeking a creative, organised, and proactive Social Media Account Management Intern to support the management and growth of social media accounts. The ideal candidate will understand social media trends, communicate effectively in Kannada, and be comfortable coordinating content, managing account activities, and supporting digital marketing initiatives. This role offers hands-on industry exposure and an opportunity to develop practical skills in social media management and client coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in managing and maintaining social media accounts across relevant platforms.
• Coordinate content planning, scheduling, and publishing in line with the social media calendar.
• Create, review, and coordinate captions, posts, reels, stories, and other social media content.
• Stay updated on social media trends, trending audio, audience preferences, and platform developments.
• Support Kannada-language content creation, communication, and localisation.
• Monitor account performance, engagement, comments, and audience interactions.
• Assist with basic performance tracking and preparation of social media reports.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely execution of content and account management activities.
• Ensure consistency in brand communication, content quality, and posting schedules.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Fluency in Kannada is mandatory.
• Prior experience in social media management or account handling is preferred.
• Basic understanding of Instagram, Facebook, and other relevant social media platforms.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• A creative mindset with an understanding of current social media trends.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn, take ownership, and work in a fast-paced office environment.
• Candidates must be comfortable working on-site from the Indiranagar, Bengaluru office.
