About the Role
FTSE Russell, part of LSEG, powers global benchmarks and index solutions, helping investors measure, manage, and capture market opportunities. As we modernise our platforms and scale capabilities, our engineers, product specialists, and data experts deliver innovative solutions for clients worldwide. We are seeking hands-on engineers to modernise and scale the FTSE platform, a cloud-native, low-latency system operating at global scale. You will be an individual contributor working on challenging software engineering problems where performance, data quality, and reliability are critical. You will leverage modern cloud (AWS) and AI-assisted development tooling.
Key Responsibilities
- Work on challenging problems across software engineering.
- Leverage modern cloud (AWS) and AI-assisted development tooling to accelerate delivery.
- Have practical use of AI-assisted development tooling to improve engineering productivity.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Experience developing software using Java, Python, C++, C#, or similar technologies.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Knowledge of CI/CD, automation, testing, and modern engineering practices.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Interest in AI and emerging technologies.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across global teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Software Engineering
- Data Engineering
- Cloud & Platform Engineering
- Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
- AI & Machine Learning
- DevOps & Automation
- Architecture & Distributed Systems
- Analytics & Data Platforms
