You will develop an understanding of the team’s underwriting appetite and Marine insurance policy wordings while supporting the review and issuance of policy documents. The role also provides opportunities to build relationships with brokers and customers, develop a strong understanding of the Inland Marine business, and take on greater underwriting responsibility as your knowledge and capabilities grow.

  • Develop an understanding of Inland Marine products, underwriting appetite, policy wordings, risk selection, and deal structure through hands-on experience and collaboration with the team.
  • Support the preparation, review, and issuance of underwriting and policy documentation with a focus on accuracy and timely service.
  • Work closely with underwriters, brokers, and customers to gather information, respond to business needs, and contribute to strong relationships.
  • Manage assigned underwriting activities and priorities with attention to detail, responsiveness, and accountability.
  • Build underwriting knowledge and capabilities over time by seeking feedback, asking thoughtful questions, and applying what you learn to increasingly complex work.
