About the Role

String is building the complete layer for companies to collect and structure web data. The company has achieved 7-figure ARR and is doubling this year. In July, they launched their Web Access API, which quickly reached six figures in ARR with high conversion and retention rates. This role is an opportunity to help build String's revenue engine from scratch and, if successful, may lead to a full-time position.

Key Responsibilities

• Actively get String's products in front of as many people as possible with a high rate of actions-per-minute.
• Own 1-3 initiatives end-to-end, including idea generation and execution.
• Utilize growth-relevant skills such as writing or video creation to produce unique content.
• Identify and automate repetitive tasks within the job.
• Learn about the product and market by interacting with engineers, founders, and the Chief of Staff.

Potential activities include:

• Hand-delivering gifts to target customers.
• Writing and shipping posts for LinkedIn and X.
• Recording demo clips of products.
• Collaborating with engineers on custom solutions.
• Creating content for TikTok/YouTube about learning on the job.
• Identifying companies that need String's product.
• Pitching YouTubers for product features.
• Sending outbound emails.
• Attending events to find prospects and pitch.

Compensation

• $17 / hour (NYC minimum wage)
• 5% commission on any closed-won deal personally sourced.
• $200 per enterprise lead sourced who trials the product.
• Fun bounty for a pie-in-the-sky goal (e.g., all-expenses paid trip, WFH setup, skydiving).

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Based in or willing to move to NYC for in-person work part-time during the week.
• Demonstrated track record of doing something singularly impressive.
• Self-starter with a proactive approach.
• Hard worker willing to put in time to achieve success.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and high agency.
• Coachable.
• Proficiency in writing, making videos, or other growth-relevant skills.
• Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT Pro Max.

Interview Process

• Initial conversation with Bruce (30 mins)
• Asynchronous exercise reviewed by Bruce and Rohit
• In-person interview and case exercise with Bruce, Rohit, and Logan (1-2 hours)
