About the Role
The Media Modeling Associate works in the Analytics, Modeling and Insights (AMI) organization to turn market, media, and consumer data into clear, actionable insights that guide business decisions. This hybrid role pairs the perspective of an insights strategist with the hands-on skills of an analytics practitioner, bridging modeling work and the business partners who rely on it.
Ideal Candidate
A combination of insights consultant, analytics practitioner, and project manager with both marketing and analytics backgrounds, who can bridge technical modeling and business needs, plan and coordinate work across teams and timelines, and drive better decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand the data foundation by working with databases and AI-enabled tools, and by knowing how market, media, and consumer data are structured and used as model inputs.
- Interpret model outputs from approaches such as marketing mix modeling (MMM), attribution, and customer analytics to identify performance drivers, growth opportunities, and areas for optimization, with a clear view of underlying assumptions and limitations.
- Generate insights and recommendations that are clear, actionable, and tied to business outcomes to inform marketing and business strategy.
- Develop project plans and track timelines and progress for insights initiatives.
- Work with cross-functional teams to deliver work and move recommendations into action.
- Communicate and coordinate with business partners and stakeholders to align priorities, share findings and updates, and support decision-making for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Combined marketing and analytics background, with experience in market research, consumer insights, media measurement, and/or marketing effectiveness, along with hands-on exposure to modeling and analytics.
- Working knowledge of MMM, attribution, customer analytics, or similar modeling approaches, with the ability to interpret their outputs.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate analytical findings into clear business recommendations and build relationships with business partners.
- Strong problem-solving and insight-generation skills, with the curiosity to look beyond the data to the underlying business question.
- Project management skills, including planning, timeline tracking, and prioritization across multiple workstreams.
- Technical and data skills, including fluency in Python and SQL; understanding of databases and how data is structured and used in modeling, including relational and non-relational databases such as Teradata, Oracle, Hadoop, SAS-Grid, and Starburst; and experience with business intelligence platforms such as Tableau, MicroStrategy, and ThoughtSpot.
- Ability to use AI-powered tools such as Microsoft Copilot Chat and GitHub Copilot to accelerate analysis, insight development, and operational efficiency while following applicable controls and standards.
