About the Role

• This position is for a Pharmacy Technician - Retail 1 at Parkland Health Center in Farmington, MO, within BJC HealthCare's dynamic outpatient team.
• The role focuses on serving patients in rural communities.
• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM. No Weekends or Holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Performs general clerical and support duties for the department under the direct supervision of a staff pharmacist.
• Enters information into the pharmacy IT system.
• Sells prescriptions.
• Manages inventory.
• Completes prescription workflow steps.
• Completes clerical duties, including sending/receiving tubes & faxes, filing prescriptions, and processing mail & courier prescriptions.
• Enters customer, insurance, and prescription information, and completes prescription transfers.
• Operates a POS system for selling prescriptions, handles cash, manages payment exceptions, and reconciles cash.
• Orders and manages inventory (drug and non-drug).
• Stocks shelves, rotates/organizes product, removes expired items, performs cycle counts, and returns products to stock.
• Completes data entry, manages contacts, dispenses products (manual and automated via Parata and RxSafe), and performs basic compounding.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• State Board Pharmacy Registration
