About the Role
Public Storage is hiring a Customer Service - Self Storage Manager. This role offers flexible and full-time schedules between 9:30 AM and 6 PM (weekends until 5 PM). Employees may be eligible for full-time benefits by working an average of 20+ hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess customer storage needs and make suggestions.
- Sell packing and moving supplies.
- Conduct daily storage unit inspections to confirm inventory and availability.
- Audit cash drawers and make bank deposits.
- Assist customers with payments.
- Make reminder and collection calls.
- Work independently at multiple locations.
- Spend time both inside and outside facilities.
- Perform cleaning and daily maintenance tasks, including sweeping/mopping interior areas and maintaining exterior grounds.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Ability to transport and lift items weighing up to 35 pounds.
- Ability to walk in/around facilities, spending up to 50% of time in outdoor environments.
- Ability to climb stairs and open large doors.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Own vehicle for travel between work locations and for other work-related business.
- Reimbursement for mileage is provided.
Qualifications
- Experience in customer service-centered sales environments such as retail, restaurant, fast food, or other service-based companies.
