Artificial Intelligence Intern

About the Role

The Artificial Intelligence Intern will support the design, development, and testing of AI features and prototypes for Hsela Mak’s product and research initiatives. This full-time, on-site role in Chennai involves working with datasets, implementing machine learning models, and assisting in performance evaluation and documentation. The intern will collaborate with the engineering and product teams to experiment with new ideas, refine algorithms, and contribute to practical AI applications in areas such as productivity tools and health-related research concepts.

Key Responsibilities

• Data preprocessing
• Basic model training
• Code reviews
• Writing technical notes
• Helping integrate AI components into existing systems

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong foundation in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, and software engineering basics.
• Solid Analytical Skills with the ability to interpret data, identify patterns, and draw logical conclusions.
• Knowledge of Data Science concepts such as data cleaning, feature engineering, and basic statistical analysis.
• Understanding of Machine Learning fundamentals, including supervised and unsupervised learning and model evaluation.
• Hands-on Programming experience in languages commonly used in AI (such as Python, R, or similar).
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Engineering, or a related field.
• Familiarity with AI frameworks and tools (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, Jupyter) is an advantage.
• Ability to work on-site in Chennai.
• Ability to collaborate in a team setting.
• Ability to manage time effectively.
• Ability to learn new tools quickly.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• An interest in applying AI to real-world product and marketing challenges.
