About the Role

TrueFoundry is building the foundational infrastructure for production AI systems, enabling companies to route between models, manage tools, orchestrate agents, and enforce governance. We are seeking a Business Development Representative to initiate conversations with potential clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Learn and master sales outreach techniques, including account research, writing effective outreach messages, and conducting discovery calls, with close coaching in the first 90 days.
  • Own outbound sales efforts across email, LinkedIn, and phone, researching accounts, identifying stakeholders, and crafting compelling outreach.
  • Utilize tools such as Nooks, Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and Salesforce, alongside an AI-assisted stack.
  • Conduct genuine discovery calls with technical buyers to assess potential alignment.
  • Identify and leverage buying triggers such as new AI hires, funding rounds, or compliance mandates.
  • Represent TrueFoundry at industry events and conferences.
  • Provide market intelligence to sales leadership and marketing to refine positioning and messaging.
  • Maintain accurate Salesforce records and disciplined follow-up.

Requirements & Tech Stack

  • Willingness to make cold calls, accept feedback, and demonstrate improvement over time.
  • Strong writing skills for crafting concise and effective outreach.
  • Genuine curiosity about technology, with a proactive approach to learning about new concepts like LLM gateways.
  • Demonstrated hustle and work ethic through past experiences (internships, jobs, projects, etc.).
  • Resilience to handle rejection and maintain momentum.
  • A desire for a long-term career in sales, with potential to grow into Account Executive and senior sales roles.
  • Familiarity with email, LinkedIn, phone outreach, Nooks, Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and Salesforce.

Qualifications

  • Sales experience is beneficial but not required.
  • We are open to interviewing fresh graduates and individuals making their first move into tech sales, provided they demonstrate the required attributes.

Why This Role is Different

  • You will engage with technical buyers, including platform engineering leaders, Heads of AI, and CISOs at Fortune 500 companies.
  • You will be instrumental in building the outbound playbook and processes as part of an early-stage team.
  • This role offers a structured path for growth into Account Executive and senior sales positions.
  • Opportunity for structured ramp-up and mentorship.
  • Exposure to a fast-moving category in enterprise software.
  • Direct access to leadership.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary plus uncapped commission.
  • Comprehensive health insurance (medical, dental, vision) for you and your family.
  • 401(k) retirement plan.
  • Flexible hybrid work policy: 2 days a week in the office (Tuesday & Wednesday), with schedule flexibility.
  • Provided lunch and snacks on office days.
  • Opportunity to work from other TrueFoundry offices globally for up to 1 month annually.
  • Team offsites.

How to Apply

Apply through LinkedIn with your resume and a short writing sample (under 100 words) of a mock cold email to a VP of Platform Engineering. Alternatively, send the mock cold email directly to Akhil AR with a note on your interest.
