About the Role
Cisco ThousandEyes is a Digital Experience Assurance platform. The Adoption Engineer is a member of the ThousandEyes Solutions Engineering team tasked with optimizing adoption and utilization through best practice recommendations. This role serves as a post-sale technical consultant throughout the customer lifecycle, working in tandem with the Customer Success Specialist. You will have the opportunity to be the customer interface of an exciting new technology. This position may also perform work that the U.S. government has specified can only be performed by a U.S. citizen on U.S. soil.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively reach out to customers to build and maintain a trusted advisor relationship and create technical champions.
- Collaborate with the Customer Success Specialist and Sales team on account strategy.
- Identify customer strategic initiatives and potential use cases.
- Engage with customers to drive adoption through best practice recommendations and increase the value ThousandEyes delivers to their business.
- Actively identify new and expansion opportunities.
- Share customer feedback and enhancement requests with the Product team.
- Deliver product updates sessions highlighting new capabilities that have been released.
- Maintain services in a FedRAMP compliant environment.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of related experience, Master’s degree with 3+ years, or PhD with 0+ years of related experience.
- Experience in at least one of the following customer-facing technical functions: Technical Support, Solutions Engineering, or Professional Services.
- Experience working with application and network protocols, including HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP, and BGP.
- Experience designing, deploying, troubleshooting, or supporting application and network infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Experience delivering technical presentations and demonstrations to technical and business audiences.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl, JavaScript).
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with ThousandEyes and/or other assurance solutions.
- Experience with the Cisco Networking portfolio.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
