Marketing Intern

About the Role

The Marketing Intern will collaborate with on-site operations, culinary, and nutrition team members to execute student experience programs. Areas of responsibility include the cafeteria environment (décor, signage, and merchandising), student engagement and nutrition education programs, hospitality, and promotions. The intern will partner with the school district's communication team to engage and inform key stakeholders – clients, school staff, parents, and students.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute marketing programs in partnership with operators and regional support teams.
• Train and support operators in the implementation of student-facing and front-of-house programs, systems, and processes.
• Customize marketing materials, such as social media posts, flyers, brochures, and client presentations, and coordinate with district communications teams for execution.
• Conduct focus groups to understand student and parent needs and identify areas for improvement.
• Assess front-of-house operations for student experience, operating standards, and signature programs, and work with operators to monitor results.
• Collect data and report on return on investment and key performance metrics.

Qualifications

• 2nd or 3rd year marketing student.
• Marketing experience preferred.
• Ability to present to large groups.
• Knowledge of merchandising and promotions.
• Excellent writing skills.

Notes:

• Location: Arkansas City, KS
• Pay Range: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour.
• This is a paid intern position, not eligible for PTO or benefits such as medical, dental, or vision.
• The schedule will be determined based on class schedule and business needs.
• This position may involve periods of unpaid work during school breaks.
