About the Role
At NewYork-Presbyterian, our Environmental Services teams are vital in creating a safe, clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and colleagues. Roles encompass maintaining patient and public areas, supporting laundry, floor care, and waste disposal operations.

Schedules & Shift Availability
Environmental Services operates 24/7 to support hospital operations. Available shifts include:
- Days: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Evenings: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- Overnights: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Employees are assigned a consistent shift. Weekend and holiday availability is required for all positions.
Location
- Uptown Manhattan campus in Washington Heights, near 168th Street and Broadway.
- Accessible by the 1, A, and C subway lines.
- On-site presence is required; employees should live within a commutable distance.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the care and cleanliness of the hospital environment.
- Maintain patient and public areas.
- Support laundry operations.
- Perform floor care duties.
- Manage waste disposal operations.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Ability to handle automatic floor scrubbing machines, floor buffers, and wet and dry vacuum.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
- Hotel, restaurant, retail experience (preferred)
- Customer service experience (preferred)
Compensation
- Salary Range: $25.89 - $27.52 per hour
