About the Role
Keysight Technologies is seeking an exceptional experimental quantum physicist with expertise in neutral-atom quantum technologies to join the Quantum Engineering Solutions (QES) division. This role involves shaping Keysight's solutions, customer engagements, and technology strategy by bringing deep technical expertise in neutral-atom quantum platforms. You will work closely with customers, internal teams, and subject-matter experts to identify and translate emerging technical needs into opportunities for Keysight.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of neutral-atom quantum computing platforms, architectures, experimental techniques, and emerging industry trends.
- Engage directly with customers and external partners to understand their technical challenges, requirements, and evolving needs.
- Serve as a technical link between customers, other Quantum Engineering Solutions team members, product owners, and R&D, translating customer needs into actionable technical requirements and solutions.
- Support the development and introduction of Keysight solutions for neutral-atom quantum technologies, working closely with product developers and engineering teams.
- Provide technical guidance and expertise during customer engagements, demonstrations, evaluations, and solution development activities.
- Identify emerging opportunities where Keysight measurement, control, and test technologies can enable advances in neutral-atom quantum systems.
- Contribute to the technical direction and long-term strategy for Keysight's role in supporting neutral-atom quantum platforms.
- Collaborate with internal and external subject-matter experts across the quantum ecosystem, including research institutions, technology companies, and quantum computing developers.
- Communicate complex quantum technology concepts and experimental requirements effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Represent Keysight at relevant customer meetings, technical conferences, workshops, and industry events.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Experimental research or engineering experience with neutral-atom quantum systems, including platforms based on optical tweezers, cold atoms, or related technologies.
- Strong experimental background in quantum computing, quantum control, atomic physics, or a closely related field.
- Experience with experimental techniques relevant to neutral-atom systems, such as laser systems, optical control, vacuum systems, atomic manipulation, imaging, or quantum control.
- Familiarity with quantum computing architectures, control systems, measurement techniques, and the broader quantum technology ecosystem.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to understand complex customer requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical experts and broader audiences.
- Excellent organization and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple technical engagements and priorities.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment and influence individuals across geographically dispersed teams and organizations.
- Willingness and ability to travel to customer sites, conferences, and other technical engagements.
Qualifications
- PhD degree in physics, engineering, or a related field.
- New graduates are encouraged to apply.
