About the Role
- This internship position is for an IT Risk & Security Governance Intern at Daiichi Sankyo, running from June 2027 – May 2028.
- The position is approximately 20 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Support multiple projects in IT Risk & Security Governance.
- Partner with team members to gain experience and be assigned projects, including:
- Reviewing alerts to determine impact to systems and employees and performing response tasks.
- Performing analysis of a variety of data sets to investigate potentially malicious activity.
- Reviewing threat material to determine impact and actions.
- Working closely with IT staff to manage active incidents through to closure.
- Reviewing daily reports of phishing emails, locked accounts, and potentially malicious activity.
- Preparing cybersecurity awareness presentation material monthly.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program (Junior or Senior) with coursework or a strong background in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or Information Systems (or related fields).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Prior experience in a corporate business environment is a plus.
