(Bosch) Intern, Indirect Purchasing

About the Role

As a BSH (Bosch) Intern in Indirect Purchasing at BSH Home Appliances Corporation in Irvine, California, you will support the purchasing staff in sourcing equipment and materials. Your work will contribute to operations, corporate, sales, and marketing functions on a regional and global scale, aiming for optimal cost and timely project implementation.

Job Functions

• Support the purchasing team in daily regional business activities, including cost comparison analysis, market data review, supplier scouting, and contract management.
• Assist the purchasing team with larger departmental projects, such as contract coverage deep-dive analysis and system administrative detail review and comparison.
• Coordinate and potentially participate in meetings with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
• Prepare various reports or presentations as requested.
• Maintain documentation in accordance with BSH signature and retention guidelines.
• Support the execution of onsite operational purchasing tasks, such as KPI reporting and contract management.
• Steer assigned categories based on defined KPIs to contribute to maximum purchasing success (Total Cost of Ownership).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proficient in all Microsoft Office Products including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.
• Good computer skills, including data entry.
• SAP Analytics, Tableau, PowerBI.
• Experience with BSH Systems (e.g., Measure Tracking Tool, Coupa).

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an Accredited College or University.
• Good communication skills, including public speaking.
• Ability to follow instructions required to perform assigned tasks.
• Preferred field of study: Business Administration.
