Software Test Analyst, Manual QA

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Software Test Analyst to evaluate the functionality, reliability, and usability of our software applications. The role involves understanding business requirements, designing test scenarios, identifying defects, and ensuring applications perform as expected before release.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse business requirements and identify test scenarios for application features.
• Prepare and execute test cases, test plans, and test checklists.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and integration testing.
• Test web-based and mobile applications across different devices and browsers.
• Verify business workflows, data accuracy, calculations, and user interactions.
• Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps.
• Coordinate with developers to validate fixes and conduct retesting.
• Maintain test execution reports and testing documentation.
• Participate in release validation and overall quality improvement activities.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Understanding of manual testing concepts and testing methodologies.
• Knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and defect life cycle.
• Ability to write clear test cases and identify edge cases.
• Familiarity with web applications, mobile applications, and browser testing.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and database validation.
• Familiarity with bug-tracking tools such as Jira or similar platforms.

Qualifications

• 0 to 2 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
• Strong observation, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and documentation abilities.
