Platform Engineer, Orbit Core

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and manage scalable platform infrastructure across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
• Develop automation scripts and tools using Python, Java, or Go.
• Manage containerization and orchestration platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management solutions.
• Support application deployment, release management, and environment provisioning.
• Monitor platform health, system performance, and application reliability.
• Implement observability using monitoring, logging, and alerting tools.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and application issues.
• Collaborate with Development, SRE, Security, and Operations teams.
• Implement DevSecOps practices, security controls, and compliance requirements.
• Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Manage source code repositories and branching strategies.
• Drive platform modernization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
