About the Role
The PHP Developer Associate will work as part of the product and engineering team to design, develop, test, and maintain PHP-based web applications that power PInterview’s online platform. This is a full-time remote role.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain PHP-based web applications.
- Write clean, efficient, and secure server-side code.
- Integrate front-end components.
- Debug and resolve technical issues.
- Participate in code reviews.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to implement new features.
- Optimize performance.
- Ensure a reliable user experience.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Strong Back-End Web Development and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) skills.
- Solid experience in PHP and related frameworks.
- Front-End Development skills, including working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
- Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git).
- Experience with APIs.
- Experience with database design (e.g., MySQL).
- Relevant experience with building and maintaining scalable web applications.
- Experience troubleshooting production issues.
- Experience implementing secure coding practices.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail.
- Capacity to work independently in a remote, collaborative environment.
- Experience with modern PHP frameworks (such as Laravel or Symfony) and cloud-based deployment environments is beneficial.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
