Extended Day After School Assistant

About the Role

The Extended Day After School Assistant will work with individuals and small groups of Pre-K through 8th grade students under the supervision of the After School Program Coordinator. The role involves providing Christian supervision and instruction to students, fostering a positive learning environment for spiritual, social, and academic development. The after school program follows the school calendar and observes normal school closure days.

Key Responsibilities

• Be punctual and dependable
• Follow School Policy at all times
• Keep accurate attendance records for sign-in and sign-out
• Handle student information confidentially and with integrity
• Communicate positively with parents, students and staff
• Prepare materials and equipment for after school instructional activities
• Assist students with homework assignments
• Create a fun and safe learning environment
• Implement the activities for each day
• Assure the safety of all students, promptly recording any misbehavior or accidents

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Christian supervision and instruction
• Background clearance requirements
• Knowledge of school subject areas including math, language arts, bible, and science

Qualifications

• Must be a role model in attitude, speech, and actions in a daily walk with Jesus Christ
• Must enjoy caring for and working with children
• Consideration will be given to applicants who cannot work every work day.
• This role is suitable for Early Childhood Education majors and Social Work majors.

General Hours

Monday - Friday 2:30 PM - 6:00 PM
