WAITER/WAITRESS (FULL TIME AND PART TIME)

About the Role

Morrison Living is hiring immediately for full-time and part-time Waiter/Waitress positions.

Location

Brightmore of South Charlotte - 10225 Old Adrey Kell Road, Charlotte, NC 28277

Schedule

Full and part-time schedules available. Open 7 days a week, days and hours may vary.

Requirements

• Serving or customer service experience is preferred.
• Willing to train.

Pay Range

$16.00 per hour to $17.00 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

• Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room and take food and beverage orders.
• Deliver food promptly and professionally, maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards.
• Follow up periodically to assist with any additional guest needs or requests.
• Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients.
• Advise guests on appropriate food and drink combinations and accommodate reasonable requests and preferences.
• Demonstrate knowledge of specialized diets and allergens as needed.
• Communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and accommodation of special requests.
• Exhibit exceptional communication skills and demonstrate ability to get along well with others.
• Remain flexible and patient when communicating with guests and staff.
• Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures.
• Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests.
• Maintain a high level of sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information.
• Promptly address complaints or issues and relay relevant information or complaints directly to a supervisor.
• Ensure the dining room is properly set up prior to and after the service period, keeping the area clean and neat while meeting established sanitation standards.
• Operate a variety of equipment, including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines.
• Work with staff of other departments to perform job duties during special events and functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
