Sourcing Associate, Alvoff.AI

About the Role

Alvoff.AI is Tipstat’s B2B sourcing platform where buyers post requirements (RFQs) and verified suppliers quote on them. As a Sourcing Associate, you will bring the right suppliers onto Alvoff, ensure every RFQ is clear, and manage deals from the first quote to delivery. You will work directly with the CEO.

Key Responsibilities

• Onboard suppliers: Find, vet, and onboard suppliers, verifying their manufacturing capabilities.
• Get RFQs right: Assist buyers in refining requirements into complete RFQs (specifications, quantities, delivery, and commercial terms) for accurate supplier quotes.
• Chase quotes: Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely and comparable quotes for every RFQ, presenting them for buyer decision-making.
• Coordinate deals: Manage buyer-supplier communication, including questions, negotiation, samples, order confirmation, delivery, and payment processing.
• Keep data accurate: Maintain up-to-date supplier records, RFQs, quotes, and deal status on Alvoff.
• Learn the products: Develop working knowledge of materials, prices, lead times, and suppliers within assigned categories.
• Report weekly: Track and report on RFQs handled, quote turnaround times, deals closed, and reasons for lost deals.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Excel or Google Sheets proficiency.
• Familiarity with AI tools like ChatGPT is a plus.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, B2B sales, or operations. Freshers with relevant internships are welcome.
• Ability to comfortably communicate by phone with suppliers and buyers throughout the day and demonstrate persistence in follow-ups.
• Clear communication skills in English and Hindi.
• Kannada or another regional language is a plus.
• Organized with the ability to prevent open items from being missed.
• Bonus: A degree or background in engineering, manufacturing, or industrial products.
