Apprenticeship Placement Coordinator

About the Role

The Apprenticeship Placement Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, responsible for managing and supporting apprenticeship placements within the logistics sector. The role includes engaging with industry partners to identify apprenticeship opportunities, coordinating with training providers and academic institutions, and matching candidates to suitable placements.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with industry partners to identify apprenticeship opportunities.
• Coordinate with training providers and academic institutions.
• Match candidates to suitable placements.
• Guide learners through the placement process.
• Provide pre-placement orientation.
• Address queries or concerns from both candidates and employers.
• Maintain placement records.
• Monitor apprenticeship progress.
• Support compliance with relevant standards and guidelines.
• Prepare reports and updates for internal stakeholders.
• Build long-term relationships with employers to expand apprenticeship networks.
• Promote LSC’s training and e-learning initiatives.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Ability to work with digital tools, learning management systems, and MS Office for documentation and reporting.

Qualifications

• Strong Interpersonal Skills to build and maintain relationships with learners, employers, and training partners.
• Effective Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication for coordinating placements and preparing reports.
• Customer Service skills to provide responsive support to apprentices and employer partners throughout the placement lifecycle.
• Education-related skills or experience, such as working with training programs, academic institutions, or vocational education initiatives.
• Recruiting skills, including candidate screening, matching profiles to roles, and coordinating interviews or selection processes.
• Relevant qualifications may include a bachelor’s degree in logistics, business, education, human resources, or a related field.
• Knowledge of the logistics sector and apprenticeship frameworks in India is highly beneficial.
• Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail for managing multiple placements and stakeholder interactions.
