About the Role
As an Omni Sports Advisor at Decathlon, you will support customers across multiple sports categories by offering knowledgeable, helpful, and engaging advice that matches their individual needs and activity levels. In this full-time, on-site role based in Gurugram, you will:
- Welcome customers and understand their goals.
- Recommend suitable products.
- Assist with fittings, demos, and basic product setup.
- Contribute to merchandising and store presentation by organizing shelves, ensuring stock availability, and maintaining a clean, safe, and engaging shopping environment.
- Process sales and returns at the checkout.
- Handle online order pickups.
- Support omni-channel services that connect in-store and digital experiences.
- Collaborate with teammates to meet store targets.
- Participate in local sports events.
- Share feedback on products and services.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Ability to use digital tools and omni-channel services (e.g., store systems, mobile apps, online orders) to deliver a seamless customer experience.
- Comfort working in a dynamic, team-based environment.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to actively listen, understand needs, and offer clear product guidance.
- Passion for sport and physical activity, with practical experience in one or more sports and enthusiasm for helping others discover and enjoy sport.
- Basic retail operations skills, including sales handling, cash management, stock replenishment, visual merchandising, and attention to store safety and cleanliness.
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to stay calm under pressure, handle multiple customer requests, and resolve concerns constructively.
- Minimum high school diploma.
- A degree in sports management, business, or related fields is an advantage.
- Prior experience in retail, customer-facing roles, or sports coaching is beneficial but not mandatory.
