Assembler

About the Role

Quanex is looking for an Assembler to join our team in Parkersburg, WV.

Key Responsibilities

• Cut and assemble window screen frames to changing specifications using a computer-driven measuring device.
• Monitor products constantly to ensure quality standards.
• Maintain the work area in a neat and orderly condition in compliance with 5S standards.
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines and notify others of existing or potential safety issues.
• Assist in other work areas when workload permits or requires.
• Promote teamwork by cooperating and supporting co-workers.
• Thoroughly complete all documentation, such as production reports.
• Assemble various components based on customer specifications and quality standards.
• Thoroughly inspect products for defects or errors.
• Verify size, color, and configuration of production utilizing labeling systems.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Ability to use hand tools including tape measure, air drill, and pneumatics saws.
• Ability to follow both written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 6 months of production, assembly or related work experience preferred.

Hours of Operation: 7am to 3:30pm Monday thru Friday

Hourly wage: $16.00, with bonus potential
