About the Role
The Manager Trainee is a full-time, entry-level position designed to prepare you for a leadership role within 84 Lumber. This role offers hands-on training across all aspects of store operations with the goal of promotion to a management position.
Key Responsibilities
- Support customers and drive sales in a retail store environment.
- Oversee material/supply chain flow, stock, and merchandising.
- Create material estimates for building projects.
- Safely handle materials and equipment.
- Manage payroll, invoicing, inventory, and financial analysis.
- Utilize Microsoft Office Suite.
- Perform payroll, invoicing, inventory, and POS Systems.
- Interpret and analyze common financial reports.
- Read blueprints and create material lists.
- Respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Full-time schedule (48+ hours/week, overtime included)
- Willingness to relocate for a management position.
- Microsoft Office Suite (previous experience preferred)
Qualifications
- No experience is required.
- Dedication and willingness to learn.
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
You’ll work in both indoor and outdoor settings, assisting customers in all weather conditions.
This role requires frequent standing, walking, and lifting (up to 80 pounds), and other physical activities.
You may also work around machinery and airborne particles.
