Video Editor Intern

About the Role

Dataspot Technologies is seeking a creative and motivated Video Editor Intern to join our team in Kozhikode. This 3-month internship offers the opportunity to work on real-world projects, enhance editing skills, and build a professional portfolio. We are looking for aspiring video editors who are creative, curious, open to feedback, and eager to grow.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit engaging short-form videos, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, promotional videos, and digital marketing content.
• Transform raw footage into polished, compelling videos with effective pacing, transitions, music, and storytelling.
• Add text overlays, subtitles, motion graphics, sound effects, and visual elements.
• Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to develop video concepts aligned with campaign objectives.
• Adapt video content for different social media platforms and audience requirements.
• Ensure consistency in video quality, branding, timing, and visual presentation.
• Review feedback, make revisions, and deliver projects within agreed timelines.
• Explore emerging video editing trends, creative techniques, and AI-assisted editing tools.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Basic knowledge of video editing and visual storytelling.
• Familiarity with tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or CapCut.
• Understanding of transitions, pacing, audio synchronization, colour correction, and video composition.
• Creativity, attention to detail, and an interest in digital content creation.
• Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and work collaboratively.
• A portfolio, showreel, personal project, or sample edits demonstrating your skills is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Freshers and aspiring video editors are welcome to apply.
• Professional experience is not mandatory if you can demonstrate creativity, basic editing knowledge, and a genuine interest in video production.

Internship Stipend & Employment Terms

• Duration: 3 months.
• Stipend: Determined after a 2-week performance review based on skills, performance, learning progress, and contribution.
• Performance Review: Evaluation of progress, editing quality, creativity, ability to meet deadlines, and response to feedback.
• Full-Time Employment Opportunity: Strong performers may be considered for a full-time position after the internship.
• Work Mode: Full-time, on-site internship in Kozhikode.
• Availability: Immediate joiners preferred.
