About the Role
The Software Engineer Intern will support the development and enhancement of Zenlynx’s AI-powered sustainability platform in a remote internship role.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing, coding, and testing software components.
- Assisting with back-end web development tasks.
- Contributing to integration and data processing features.
- Collaborating with engineers and product team members to understand requirements, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements.
- Learning and applying best practices in software engineering, documentation, and code reviews.
- Working in an agile, collaborative environment.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Computer Science foundational knowledge, including algorithms, data structures, and software engineering principles.
- Software Development and Programming skills with at least one modern language (such as Python, Java, C#, or JavaScript).
- Experience or coursework in Back-End Web Development, including APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.
- Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and ability to apply them.
- Familiarity with version control systems (such as Git) is beneficial.
- Basic knowledge of agile development practices is beneficial.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to learn quickly.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a distributed team.
- Interest in sustainability, ESG, or climate technology is a plus.
