Software Engineer Intern

About the Role

Migsak is a software studio in Bengaluru building web and mobile apps, automation and integrations for businesses. This is a 3-month unpaid internship. Interns who do well are considered for a stipend after the 3 months, based on the work they ship.

Key Responsibilities

• Take features or small products from idea to deployment with minimal hand-holding
• Design simple, clean interfaces and turn them into working front-end code
• Build APIs and backend services, and model the data behind them
• Use AI coding tools like Claude, Cursor, and Antigravity to move fast while understanding every line shipped
• Share progress in a short daily online call and demo work at in-person meetups

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Self-motivated, able to start on a problem without waiting to be told each step
• A fast learner who picks up a new framework or tool in days
• Hands-on with AI-assisted development
• Working knowledge of front end, APIs, backend, and databases
• Enough design sense to make a screen look clean and usable
• At least one project built from scratch and deployed
• Good to have: React, Next.js, Flutter, Node.js, FastAPI, or PostgreSQL
• Good to have: A public GitHub or portfolio
• Good to have: Freelance or client project experience

Schedule

• Remote, at least 4 focused hours every weekday
• 8 hours available across the weekend
• Short daily online meeting
• In-person meetups in Bengaluru, weekly or at least twice a month
• Full commitment for the complete 3 months
