Junior Civil Engineer

About the Role

The Junior Civil Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Kolkata. The individual in this role will assist in planning, designing, and overseeing construction activities for residential projects, ensuring structural integrity and compliance with relevant codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing and reviewing engineering drawings.
• Coordinating with senior engineers, architects, and contractors.
• Performing site inspections.
• Documenting project progress.
• Supporting stormwater management and other infrastructure design tasks.
• Contributing to quantity estimation.
• Helping resolve on-site technical issues.
• Collaborating with project teams to maintain timelines, quality benchmarks, and safety standards.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD or similar tools) and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Strong foundation in Civil Engineering Design and core concepts.
• Skills in planning and coordination of civil works for residential or infrastructure projects.
• Understanding of Stormwater Management principles and related site drainage design.
• Familiarity with relevant building codes, standards, and basic project management practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with Civil Engineers, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Willingness to work on-site in Kolkata and conduct regular field visits.
• Comfortable in multiple site locations.
