The Software Engineer Intern role at GrapeCrux is a full-time remote position focused on supporting the design, development, and maintenance of modern software solutions. This position offers hands-on experience in a dynamic environment that combines engineering, AI, and product-focused thinking.

Key Responsibilities

• Writing clean, testable code.
• Contributing to back-end web services and APIs.
• Assisting in debugging and troubleshooting issues in existing systems.
• Collaborating with senior engineers on feature implementation.
• Participating in code reviews.
• Helping document technical specifications and processes.
• Learning and applying best practices in software engineering.
• Working with version control tools.
• Contributing to small project components under guidance.

Qualifications

• Strong foundational knowledge in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and basic software engineering principles.
• Hands-on experience or coursework in Software Development and Programming, ideally using one or more modern languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, or similar).
• Understanding of Back-End Web Development concepts such as RESTful APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.
• Familiarity with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and ability to apply them in code design.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and basic command-line workflows.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills and attention to detail in coding and testing.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting while collaborating effectively with distributed teams.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies, frameworks, and tools in areas such as AI, cloud computing, or full-stack development.
