Associate or Full Professor Neuroimager Faculty Position

About the Role

• Tenure track Investigator position at the rank of Associate or Full Professor within the Mesulam Center for Cognitive Neurology and Alzheimer’s Disease (MCCNAD) and the Department of Radiology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (FSM).
• Focus on Human Neuroimaging with an emphasis in Magnetic Resonance Imaging and/or Positron Emission Tomography.
• The role requires an active research program that aligns with the mission of the MCCNAD.
• Appointment will be in the Department of Radiology.
• The faculty member will have an office in the MCCNAD, located on the FSM campus in downtown Chicago.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting an independent research program.
• Attaining independent research funding.
• Serving as the Core Leader for the ADRC Imaging Core at Northwestern University.
• Leading the Imaging Core team to meet and accomplish the aims of the ADRC P30.
• Leading a team that supports the imaging needs of research projects at the MCCNAD.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Magnetic Resonance Imaging and/or Positron Emission Tomography expertise.
• Access to two 3T Siemens Prisma MR scanners (100% dedicated to research).
• Access to 3 PET/CT and 1 PET/MR scanners.
• Access to computing resources including the NU/FSM high performance cluster (Quest):
• ~63,000 cores
• 68 GPUs
• 8 Pb of storage
• Access to a local NeuroCluster:
• 320 cores
• 4 GPUs

Qualifications

• PhD, MD, or equivalent degree.
• Established record of research productivity.
• Established record of independent grant funding in neuroimaging related to aging and/or dementia.
• Demonstrated interest in developing strong, productive interactions with faculty colleagues.
• Ability to contribute to the intellectual diversity of the MCCNAD.
• Ability to work with and mentor a varied group of trainees.
