Associate Medical Assistant, PEDIATRIC

About the Role

As an Associate Medical Assistant at Swedish Medical Group's pediatric clinic, you will work alongside licensed providers to deliver hands-on patient care, supporting the health and well-being of children and families. You will play an important role on a collaborative care team, contributing to smooth clinic operations and ensuring compliance with established policies and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in providing basic patient care to assigned patients under the delegation of a licensed practitioner.
• Perform administrative and clinical duties to meet basic patient care needs.
• Take vitals.
• Administer vaccines and medications.
• Support smooth clinic operations.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Washington Medical Assistant Certification (Upon hire)
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association (Within 30 days of hire)
• Medical assisting experience in a clinic setting (0-6 months)
• Electronic Health Record (EHR) experience (Preferred)
• High level of customer service in a fast-paced environment (Preferred)

Qualifications

Coursework/Training:

• Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands-on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants

Or

• Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program

Or

• Completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces

Or

• Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes:
• Obtaining vital signs
• Administering injections
• Medication administration
