PetStop is building an at-home dog grooming service designed to make pet care more convenient, accessible, and stress-free for pet parents. We’re creating a technology-enabled platform that connects pet parents with professional groomers and simplifies the entire booking experience. We’re looking for a motivated Engineering Intern who wants to build real products, solve practical problems, and contribute to the technology behind an early-stage startup.

Role Overview

As an Engineering Intern, you’ll work closely with the founding team to develop, improve, and maintain PetStop’s digital platform. You’ll get hands-on experience building product features, improving user experiences, and solving real-world engineering challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and improving PetStop’s website and digital platform.
• Build and maintain frontend features and responsive user interfaces.
• Support backend development, API integrations, and database management.
• Identify and fix bugs, troubleshoot technical issues, and improve platform performance.
• Collaborate with the founding team to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Contribute ideas to improve the booking flow, user experience, and overall product.
• Test new features and ensure functionality across devices.
• Research and implement suitable tools, frameworks, and technologies to support product development.

What We’re Looking For

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern web development frameworks.
• Basic understanding of backend development, APIs, and databases.
• Familiarity with Git/GitHub and software development fundamentals.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
• Ability to take ownership of tasks and work independently in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Interest in building products from the ground up.
• Bonus: Experience with React, Next.js, Node.js, Supabase, Firebase, or AI-powered development tools.

Internship Details

• Duration: 3 months
• Commitment: Full-time
• Stipend: Unpaid
• PPO: Considered upon successful completion of the internship, based on performance and available opportunities.
