Associate STEM Content Analyst, Chemistry

About the Role

• Join our Abstraction team (IP Operations) in Noida, working on Derwent products.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare abstracts for patents according to the DWPI Abstracting policy.
• Perform detailed analysis of patents to provide accurate and editorially enhanced technical information, including descriptive title, uses, novel features, advantages, and other key information.
• Capture insights from patent data to generate editorially enhanced technical summaries.
• Utilize Clarivate specific tools for content editing, abstraction, and curation.

About The Team

• The Abstraction Team in IP Operations focuses on enriching and curating high-quality content sets.
• We analyze patents to create and deliver value-added content for Patent Intelligence products and Clarivate customers.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Graduate degree in MSc Chemistry (General, Organic, Inorganic, Physical & Analytical, MSc Polymer Science).
• Good understanding of patents.
• Strong domain knowledge in chemistry and related technology fields.
• Proficiency in using Clarivate specific tools for content editing, abstraction, and curation.

Qualifications

• Can be a fresher or have up to one year of experience in content abstraction or editing.
• Ideally located in Noida.
• Certification in typing is a plus.
• Extensive knowledge about patents and drafting is a plus.
• Great English comprehension skills are a plus.
