About the Role
Indian Silk House Agencies (ISHA) is a 55-year-old ethnic wear retail brand with 66 stores across 60 cities. As we continue our national expansion, we are strengthening our Retail Operations team at our Kolkata head office. As a Management Trainee – Retail Operations, you will learn how our stores run and be the link between head office and our stores. This is a hands-on role that needs strong follow-up, coordination and reporting skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinating with stores daily on sales, staffing, stock, and other business needs.
- Following up on day-to-day store operations to ensure they run smoothly.
- Communicating business updates, policies, and operational guidelines to stores and confirming their implementation.
- Tracking store-level data: sales, stock movement, audit, and compliance reports.
- Following up on daily and weekly store reports and stock audits.
- Supporting stores in executing campaigns, promotions, launches, and festive activities on time.
- Resolving day-to-day operational queries from store teams, with assistance from other departments as needed.
- Monitoring SOP and retail-standard compliance across stores, and updating SOP documents when required.
- Flagging recurring issues and operational gaps and escalating them to the appropriate personnel.
- Supporting the rollout of new or revised SOPs at the store level.
- Maintaining accurate records of store communications and follow-ups.
- Collaborating with Sales, HR, Visual Merchandising, Marketing, Accounts, and Supply Chain to ensure store operations remain on track.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel and basic reporting.
Qualifications
- 0-3 years of experience in retail or store operations, store coordination, or retail head-office support (apparel, fashion or FMCG retail preferred).
- Freshers with a BBA, B.Com, MBA, or PGDM and a strong interest in retail operations are welcome.
- Ability to handle multiple stores, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
- Good problem-solving and stakeholder-management skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Based in or willing to relocate to Kolkata.
