About the Role

Weskill is a pioneering online training platform focused on upskilling undergraduate students through practical, hands-on learning. This remote Machine Learning Intern role is an internship position designed for individuals eager to develop applied skills in data science and machine learning. The intern will assist in building, training, and evaluating machine learning models, supporting the development of intelligent features for Weskill’s online training platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Data collection and preprocessing.
• Exploratory data analysis.
• Experimenting with algorithms.
• Documenting model performance.
• Collaborating with mentors and team members to translate learning objectives into measurable outcomes.
• Contributing to pilot projects.
• Helping maintain clear records of experiments and results.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Foundational knowledge in machine learning concepts (e.g., supervised/unsupervised learning, model evaluation).
• Basic proficiency in Python or a similar programming language.
• Experience or coursework in statistics, data analysis, or related fields.
• Familiarity with libraries such as NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, or similar tools is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Skills in Learning Management and Learning Management Systems for supporting and integrating ML solutions within training platforms.
• Skills in Training & Development and Instructional Design to help align machine learning features with effective educational content and learner outcomes.
• Strong Communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, present findings clearly, and document processes and results.
• Ability to learn quickly, work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and take constructive feedback.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
